If All Else Fails, Wear a Panda Suit<\/p><\/div>\n

Real estate pro Jessica Arnett wanted to attract more viewers to her listing in Spring, Texas, and she knew of one sure-fire way to do that: Wear a panda costume and take photos in the home in it for the listing ad.<\/p>\n

Her gimmick may have worked too.<\/p>\n

Arnett is selling a four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home for $199,900. For three weeks, the home has attracted little interest from potential buyers and only two showings.<\/p>\n

Enter the appearance of a random panda suit in the listing photos, and more potential buyers are suddenly calling wanting to take a peek at the home.<\/p>\n

Arnett read an article about a real estate professional who wore a giant bear suit to try to sell a home in England.<\/p>\n

\u201cI posted the story on my Facebook page and joked that I\u2019d do that for my next listing,\u201d Arnett says.<\/p>\n

Her clients saw her Facebook post and thought that sounded like a good idea. So she put on a panda costume and posed in the listing photos.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt first I\u00a0thought it was crazy,\u201d Arnett told realtor.com\u00ae. \u201cI told the sellers, \u2018I don\u2019t know. It\u2019ll make it seem like I\u2019m not serious as a real estate agent. It might draw negative attention.\u2019 But the seller had a sense of humor. He said, \u2018we\u2019ve had our house on the market for three weeks already; we need something different.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Ever since her panda-posing photos went live, Arnett has seen a dramatic increase in showing requests. In fact, there were 12 showings in just two days after the photos were posted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just one of those\u00a0people who will do anything to sell a house,\u201d Arnett says. \u201cAs long as it\u2019s legal, of course.\u201d<\/p>\n
