Pending home sales\u2014basically homes under contract\u2014have started to tick up again, which is a good signal for what\u2019s ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent data shows a small but encouraging monthly increase (around 1\u20132%), suggesting buyers are slowly coming back. That said, activity is still slightly below where it was a year ago, so this isn\u2019t a full rebound\u2014more like a cautious step in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Bringing Buyers Back?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest factor is mortgage rates. After hovering near 7% for much of 2024 and 2025, rates dipped closer to the low-6% range heading into 2026.
