Because the starting rate is often lower than fixed-rate loans, buyers can enjoy <strong>smaller monthly payments at the beginning of the loan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For buyers trying to improve affordability in today\u2019s market, that early savings can make a big difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temporary Rate Buydowns Are Trending<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another strategy that\u2019s becoming more common is a <strong>mortgage rate buydown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this option, the interest rate is temporarily reduced during the first few years of the loan. Sometimes sellers or builders help cover the cost of the buydown as part of the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefit? <strong>Lower monthly payments in the early years<\/strong>, giving homeowners time to settle in financially or refinance if rates drop further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FHA Loans Are Getting Attention Again<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Government-backed loans are also seeing renewed interest, especially <strong>FHA loans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These loans allow <strong>down payments as low as 3.5%<\/strong> and can be easier to qualify for than conventional mortgages.
