Florida dominates this year\u2019s \u201cBest Places to Retire in 2020\u201d from U.S. News & World Report \u201cin a way that we haven\u2019t seen in years before,\u201d says Emily Brandon, U.S. News & World Report\u2019s senior editor for retirement.<\/p>\n

Brandon says Florida is drawing more retirees due to the state\u2019s affordable homes, low taxes, and high ratings for happiness and desirability. Florida boasted seven of the top 10 places to retire in 2020 on U.S. News & World Report\u2019s annual list.<\/p>\n

U.S. News & World Report analyzed 150 of the largest metro areas and ranked them on metrics such as happiness of local residents, housing affordability, tax rates, and health care quality.<\/p>\n

The top places to retire in 2020, according to the rankings, are:<\/p>\n

  9. Miami<\/li>\n

  12. Nashville<\/li>\n
  13. Jacksonville, Fla.<\/li>\n
  14. Manchester, N.H.<\/li>\n
