As REALTORS®, we’re navigating one of the most dynamic periods our industry has seen. That’s why the National Association of REALTORS® is focused on building an organization that better supports your business, protects your professionalism, and delivers real value where it matters most.
Over the past year, NAR has actively listened to members across the country. More than 100,000 REALTORS® shared their perspectives through surveys, forums, focus groups, and direct conversations. State and local associations also hosted discussions to ensure voices from every market were heard. This feedback is shaping NAR’s 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, which will guide priorities and decision-making for the years ahead. The message from members has been clear: transparency, accountability, and relevance matter.
At the heart of this work is NAR’s Value Proposition—supporting REALTORS® so you can succeed in your businesses and better serve your clients. That means strong advocacy at the local, state, and national levels; reliable market data and research you can use with confidence; education and professional development to keep you competitive; and high ethical standards that protect the REALTOR® brand. Every initiative is being evaluated through one key question: Does this help REALTORS® thrive?
NAR is also modernizing how it operates behind the scenes. Improvements are underway to strengthen financial oversight, reduce legal risk, update member onboarding, and improve internal systems. New tools—like enhanced market dashboards and customized reports—are being developed to give REALTORS® clearer insights into trends affecting their local markets.
For the first time, NAR will release an Annual Report designed specifically for members. This report will provide greater visibility into finances, operations, and strategic priorities, helping REALTORS® understand how resources are being used and where the organization is headed.
This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time reset. NAR remains committed to listening to members, adapting to change, and earning your trust through action.
